Our Practice

Thomas B Reed Jr has been practicing law since 1999.  He earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from University of the Pacific McGeorge School  and his Masters of Law in Taxation (LLM) from Golden Gate University in 2005 with honors.  He became a licensed California Department of Real Estate salesperson in 2016  and has been admitted to practice before the United States Bankruptcy Court - Northern District of California.

He started his career at Watson & Lanctot in San Francisco, California, a boutique firm, where he started his  practice in estate planning and taxation.  He left the firm in 2009 to start his own practice.  

His office, located in the former site of San Lorenzo Glass, is ideally located in San Lorenzo, California, and is just off Hesperian  Boulevard and within walking distance of J.F. Kennedy Park and the historic McConaghy House.

Mr. Reed practices probate law throughout the State of California, having successfully probated estates in Alameda, Calaveras, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Los Angles, Napa, San Joaquin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Shasta, Sonoma and Stanislaus Counties.  He regularly represents out of state clients with the administration of estates in California.

Mr. Reed also assists clients with trust administration and regularly helps clients with their estate planning.

Mr. Reed has been a guest speaker for numerous organizations, a member of Alameda County Lawyer Referral Board of Directors and a member of the St. Thomas More Society during his career.

When not practicing law, Mr. Reed enjoys spending time with his family, friends and traveling.  He also likes listening to live music, and is a fan of the Golden State Warriors and San Jose Sharks fan.
